MNOSHA A.W.A.I.R

Ebert Construction feels very strongly about the safety of everyone on our jobsites. From 2009 to 2013 Minnesota OSHA (MNOSHA) reported 82 total workplace fatalities. Of those 82, 24 were construction related.  The most common types of fatalities were falls and contact with an object or equipment.  Ebert Construction is working hard to educate our employees and subcontractors to be up to date with the A.W.A.I.R (A Workplace Accident & Injury Reduction Act) program. We have implemented a written safety program with specific actions designed to reduce workplace accidents and injuries.  Safety on every jobsite is very important to us and we will continue to train our employees to provide a safe work environment. Demand for Construction Laborers

Ebert Construction is currently searching for construction laborers, carpenters and concrete workers.  In a recent article from the Minneapolis and St. Paul Business Journal, the construction industry in Minnesota as a whole is experiencing a shortage in the labor workforce.  Demand for workers is exceeding supply and they predict it will for some time.  A higher demand for the construction labor will most likely lead to higher wages.  With higher wages for construction laborers, there may be an increase in construction prices as well.  To read more from the Biz Journal’s article “Looming labor crunch already pushing up construction prices” visit their website here.
