On August 17th, the Monticello School District celebrated the grand opening of the new Monticello Stadium! The new stadium consists of a main Team and Concession Building, Athletic Field, and Veteran’s Memorial. Ebert Construction was awarded the Team and Concession Building portion of the project. The building consists of two main areas; the front of the building is for ticket purchases, while the back is the concession stand. It was an exciting night, with a special memorial event for the communities’ veterans. Ebert was thrilled to be a part of this project in the Monticello Community.
Ebert Construction has had a very busy Spring bidding season! We have been very successful landing many projects for Summer and into the Fall. We were awarded the Centennial Schools 2016 Improvements at their West High School. This project includes a 225,000 sq ft complete interior renovation. Additionally, we will be completing a renovation at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare facility in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. The project includes renovating the North, West, and East wings into private resident rooms with bathrooms, utility rooms, housekeeping, oxygen room, electrical room and storage. We also landed the Eagan Maintenance Facility Expansion Project which consists of an addition to the existing facility, a new storage building, a brine building along with an interior renovation. We are looking forward to another busy summer here at Ebert Construction.
Ebert Construction is delighted to announce the opening of the Caribou Coffee and Einstein Bagels in Buffalo, MN! The new 2,550 sq ft building sits along Highway 55 and the Corner of 3rd Ave in Buffalo next to the McDonalds. The first day of business was eventful and busy all morning as the residents of Buffalo were eager to check out the new business and get their gourmet coffee. We are proud to be a part of this project that has the community buzzing with excitement!
Ebert Construction is eager to start construction on one of our newest projects, the new Columbia Heights Library. Ebert was awarded the contract for a new 23,000 square foot public library. The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Monday September 14th and work on the project will begin soon after. Ebert is excited to be part of the Columbia Heights’s new Library. It’s a busy time of year for Ebert Construction as the bidding season for summer and spring work is underway. We are coming off a successful winter season of construction. We landed the first phase of a Kasson-Mantorville Elementary School project which is a 35,000SF addition that includes a new gymnasium and 10 new classrooms. Additionally, we were the low bidder on the Currie Maintenance Facility Project which is set to begin in March. The project is for the City of Minneapolis and it includes the installation of a new car wash system for the City’s vehicles and some associated work.As the Winter continues to drag on into March, Ebert Construction is working hard on bidding projects and looking forward to having a great start to the construction season.
Ebert Construction is underway and working hard at one of our newest projects, Blaine’s Lexington Athletic Complex. Ebert Construction was awarded the $3.44 million project this past May. An article in the ABC Newspaper discusses the development that has been made to the 38.5 acre project. The Parks Board’s Chairperson Jeffrey Bird is very pleased with the progress, “It’s impressive when you drive by it. It changes every week.” When the project is finished, it will look like a barn to pay homage to the Finn Farm Barn that was recently demolished near the site. Ebert is excited to be a part of this project and will continue to deliver quality service!
Ebert Construction was awarded to be the general contractor for Kalla Lily’s new salon in Medina, MN. Kalla Lily is an upscale salon/spa located in Maple Grove and now Medina. This current project consists of a 2,400 sf new tenant space build-out. The interior features ceiling clouds, multi color walls and wall covering, custom casework at customer reception and work areas. Ebert Construction was also the general contractor for their salon in Maple Grove, MN. Please refer to our featured project page for more details of that project as well as photos! We are pleased to be working with Kalla Lily again on another wonderful project!
We are excited at Ebert Construction to be working again with Acorn Mini Storage! Ebert Construction has been the general contractor on 13 other Acorn Mini Storage projects. We are currently working on a new development site for Acorn Mini Storage in Champlin, MN. They have eight (8) existing facilities. The project consists of two buildings. The first is a single story 7,200SF building that will house their sales and operation office and temperature controlled storage. The second building is a two story partially temperature controlled building. We are thrilled to be continuing our relationship with Acorn Mini Storage and hope to continue this great partnership and be involved in many more projects to come!
Ebert Construction is proud to announce the start of one of our newest projects, The Minnetonka High School Fitness Center! The project consists of a 4420 SF single story, masonry addition. The new physical wellness center will be constructed near the multipurpose room on the southwest corner of the high school. Students, staff and community members will be able to use this space to enhance physical wellness through the use of cardio equipment and activity-based workout equipment. This will replace the current cardio room located in the basement of the high school. We are very excited to start another project with the Minnetonka Public School District.
Another month gone by, another successful month for Ebert Construction in landing some more work for the upcoming Spring and Summer. In the last month we have landed four more projects that will kick off once we get some warm weather and the ground starts to thaw out. This year has been a colder than average, so our excavation subcontractors aren’t getting the jump on work than they have in the past but we have adjusted the construction schedules to make sure all the projects are finished on time!
Shortly after the last blog entry Ebert Construction was the successful bidder of the Fridley Classroom Additions for the Fridley School Districts. The project is actually two projects within one, two elementary schools Hayes Elementary and Steven Elementary are getting nearly identical additions that will consists of five more classrooms and one set of restrooms for the students. We were also awarded a project from MnSCU for the Inver Hill Community Center Library Renovation that includes mechanical and electrical upgrades as well as a much needed face lift to the library area. We kept the hot streak going by landing the Braham Community Center in Braham, MN, which is located about an hour north of the Twin Cities area. That project consists of a 14,500 square foot wood framed community center that will include a new banquet hall, library and commercial for the City of Braham. The most recent project that we landed was a transportation center project for Scott County called the Marshall Park and Ride building. This project is unique in the aspect that it is taking a old car dealership that went out of business and transforming it into a Park and Ride bus transportation center. The project includes the renovation of the site with new asphalt and concrete as well as some renovations of the interior spaces for a waiting area for the buses.
March was a great month for Ebert Construction as we continue to log work for the upcoming months and look to continue that streak into April.
