On March 2, 2017 a group of Ebert Construction employees attended the 10th Annual Truck Safety Seminar at the Corcoran Public Works Facility. The City of Corcoran hosts this seminar each year and offers it to members of the community. Ebert is proud to be one of the sponsors of the event helping to make it free to attend. Our employees were able to learn about new laws for 2017, vehicle equipment requirements and information regarding CDL and DOT Health Cards. It was a great event where we could brush up on our truck safety and network with other companies in our community.
On August 2nd, The City of Corcoran and the Corcoran Police will be hosting a celebration for a Night to Unite. Ebert Construction feels very strongly about the safety of everyone on our jobsites. From 2009 to 2013 Minnesota OSHA (MNOSHA) reported 82 total workplace fatalities. Of those 82, 24 were construction related. The most common types of fatalities were falls and contact with an object or equipment. Ebert Construction is working hard to educate our employees and subcontractors to be up to date with the A.W.A.I.R (A Workplace Accident & Injury Reduction Act) program. We have implemented a written safety program with specific actions designed to reduce workplace accidents and injuries. Safety on every jobsite is very important to us and we will continue to train our employees to provide a safe work environment. For more information on the MNOSHA AWAIR Program please click here.

We landed the first phase of a Kasson-Mantorville Elementary School project which is a 35,000SF addition that includes a new gymnasium and 10 new classrooms. Additionally, we were the low bidder on the Currie Maintenance Facility Project which is set to begin in March. The project is for the City of Minneapolis and it includes the installation of a new car wash system for the City’s vehicles and some associated work.As the Winter continues to drag on into March, Ebert Construction is working hard on bidding projects and looking forward to having a great start to the construction season.

Ebert Construction is underway and working hard at one of our newest projects, Blaine’s Lexington Athletic Complex. Ebert Construction was awarded the $3.44 million project this past May. An article in the ABC Newspaper discusses the development that has been made to the 38.5 acre project. The Parks Board’s Chairperson Jeffrey Bird is very pleased with the progress, “It’s impressive when you drive by it. It changes every week.” When the project is finished, it will look like a barn to pay homage to the Finn Farm Barn that was recently demolished near the site. Ebert is excited to be a part of this project and will continue to deliver quality service!
